UNDERGROUND SESSIONS

From basement studios to global stages — the untold stories of rebel stylists.

Jimmy Bollaerts

NOVEMBER 2025

Before the awards. Before the magazine covers. Before the brand deals. There was a basement, a mirror, and a pair of scissors.

Every great stylist has an underground story. The years spent working in obscurity, developing a vision that the mainstream wasn't ready for. The clients who believed in them before anyone else did. The shoots done for free because the idea was too good not to make.

We've been collecting these stories. Not the polished, PR-approved versions — the real ones. The failures that taught more than any success. The moments of doubt that preceded the breakthroughs. The mentors who gave everything and asked for nothing.

The underground is where the real work happens. It always has been. The stage is just where you show what you've already built in the dark.

INFECTED

These are the sessions that shaped INFÊCTED. And they're still happening — in studios, in kitchens, in car parks at 2am. Wherever the work demands to be done.
