Skin Deep was conceived as an archive — a documentation of the marks that life leaves on a body. Stretch marks, scars, freckles, veins, birthmarks. The things that get covered up, smoothed over, hidden.

We lit each subject to emphasise texture rather than minimise it. Raking light. Close proximity. No diffusion. The skin becomes a landscape — vast, complex, endlessly interesting.
